Replacement 18mm carburettor suitable for Honda MT, MB, MTX vehicles.

Carburettor main jet with 5mm thread as used in Dellorto carburettors. This moped carburettor comes with a 120 main jet.

I fitted this carb to my Honda MT5 which is running a `full power` cylinder that has also been bored out to 65cc. I`ve mildly ported it too. Other mods include a fully reprofiled head with a proper squish band and fully destricted exhaust. The carb has needed a fair amount of tuning in order to get the engine running well. I`ve had to increase the pilot jet from what I think was a 35 to a 45 and down jet the main jet too 100 from a 120. (The 100 may still be a bit too big). The engine would literally `flame-out` with the 120 jet because it was so rich. The pilot jets that I purchased from Amazon are a Delorto carb, I had to tap the thread in the 101 carb deeper (M6x0.75) and the step shoulder on the jets needed machining back about 0.75mm before they would fit the 101 carb.

Be careful with this carb when working on it, its easy to cross thread the plastic slide cap, other than that its good value for money!

I`m still tuning my carb but with one tooth up on the front sprocket and two teeth off the rear sprocket I can get around 54 MPH out of my `ped at the moment! (Its revving pretty high at this speed)

Works great with airsal big bore, gianelli exhaust an H100 cdi, Honda mt5 goes clean off clock in 4th! You`ll need smaller jet tho, otherwise it will bog down badly, I bought set for £12 and got lucky first time with a 100, be careful, better rich than weak.
