The latest Big Bore Athena cylinder kit with 70cc, 47.6mm bore for 10mm piston pin suitable for scooters with horizontal, 2-stroke AC Minarelli engine such as ATU Explorer Kalio 50, Aprilia SR 50, Generic Race GT 50, MBK Nitro 50, Yamaha Aerox 50.
With this cylinder Athena has succeeded in a real revolution in the 2-stroke range for air-cooled Minarelli engines. Due to the flange-mount assembly directly on the crankcase, the stud bolts are eliminated, hereby it was possible to realize secondary outlets and a very large oval exhaust! The intake port has been redesigned and now has a CNC-milled fifth channel.
Through extensive analysis and testing on the cylinder and also because of years of experience in racing, the performance in terms of power and torque has been greatly improved and reached for the first time ever values in the range up to 19HP with a series-produced 70cc 2-stroke AC cylinder for Minarelli engines!
The numerous innovative technical solutions (patent pending) introduced in this project allow this engine to achieve unprecedented performance without porting.
