Mirror set (plugged mounting, without thread), suitable for Vespa PX/PK scooters which have mirror holders in the steering head cover (next to the speedometer) ex works.
Here the mirror rods (without thread at the rod end) are put directly into the factory mounted mirror holder and fixed with the hexagon lock nut.

Vespa PK XL (1986-1989 included)
Vespa PX (1988-2016 included)
Vespa T5
The BGM mirror set is a nice and high-quality replacement / upgrade for the round chrome mirrors used ex works (from 1998 onwards) as well as the black, square plastic mirrors of the earlier models.
NOTE
: The union/locknut of the mirror mounting is partly quite tight. To loosen the nut, always hold the mirror firmly. Otherwise the complete mirror holder screwed into the steering head may come loose.
According to StVZO §56 every motor vehicle in Germany, which also includes mopeds, requires at least one mirror mounted on the left side of the vehicle.
NUMBER
The number of mirrors depends on the initial registration (EZ):
- EZ before 01.01.1990 1 mirror left
- EZ from 01.01.1990 to 100 km/h 1 mirror left
- EZ from 01.01.1990 over 100 km/h 2 mirrors
SIZE
The size of the reflecting surface must
- before EZ 17.06.2003 at least 60cm² (for round mirrors the diameter is greater-even 88 mm)
- according to EZ 17.6.2003 at least 69cm² (for round mirrors the diameter is greater or equal 94 mm)

CHECK MARK:
Mirrors with a check mark automatically meet all the above conditions.
- Mirrors with test marks must be fitted on vehicles approved under EC law (from 01.10.2005).
- Vehicles with ABE approval (before 01.10.2005) must only use mirrors that meet the above-mentioned criteria.
