connection between steering tube and front swing arm is a highly stressed component in the Vespa models. Forces from all directions must be safely absorbed and transmitted.
The swing arm bearing is responsible for precise wheel guidance and transmits the steering impulse. Thus also a TÜV relevant component. The bearings are fixed by pressed-in staples.
The bolt is fixed in the steering tube and is guided in needle bearings in the aluminium swing arm. These are sealed by O-rings and V-rings.
If these are brittle due to aging, water can penetrate and destroy the bearings.
Complete bearing set for the connection of the swing arm to the head tube. Suitable for all Vespa / Piaggio models with single-sided swingarm from 1984 onwards.
The repair should be done with a strong press
.Incl. V-rings (without O-rings) and safety clamps.
